Dental Implants

Dental implants can be life-changing for those suffering from tooth loss, but in most of North America, they are prohibitively expensive.

Castle Dental in Los Algodones, Mexico, provides implants starting at around $900-$1,000, with abutments and replacement teeth priced separately.

Let's look closer at how dental tourism can help you experience a better quality of life through affordable implants.

Bilingual Staff To Handle Your Dental Needs

Our staff speaks both English and Spanish, so our patients from outside Mexico can feel comfortable and confident in their dental implant treatment.

How Do Dental Implants Work? Take a Closer Look

Dental implants are small titanium posts surgically implanted into your jawbone to act as a sturdy base for dental crowns, bridges, or dentures. After your implant heals, your dentist will attach an abutment to the titanium base. Your life-like restorations are then secured to the abutment and can only be removed by a dental professional. Dental implants allow you to chew and speak normally even if an entire arch of missing teeth is replaced.

Improve Your Smile and Your Oral Health How Dental Implants Can Help You

When placed by experienced dentists like the ones at our dental office in Los Algodones, dental implants can help create a smile that is:

Missing teeth can cause embarrassment and make us feel self-conscious about our smile. Our Los Algodones practice creates natural-looking restorations that seamlessly blend with your remaining teeth for a gorgeous grin.

Dental implants can restore your oral health and prevent future issues, like jawbone atrophy. Implants are a permanent fixture and will continue to support and promote a healthy jaw for years.

With dental implants, you never have to worry about your restorations sliding out of place. You can speak and chew with complete confidence and even eat crunchy or sticky items without worry.

The Cost of Not Seeking Treatment Dental Implants Are an Investment in Your Oral Health

While the price tag may seem substantial at first, dental implants can protect your oral health and potentially save you money in the long run by preventing costly dental treatments and other oral health issues like:

Shifting Teeth

Gaps in your smile can cause your remaining teeth to shift out of place. This can make them harder to clean and lead to a misaligned bite.

Worn Teeth

Missing teeth can cause you to put more pressure on your remaining teeth, wearing them down prematurely. Dental implants can help redistribute the pressure to keep your remaining teeth healthy.

TMJ Disorder

Temporomandibular jaw disorder (TMJ) can occur due to missing teeth. A misaligned bite and significant wear on your remaining teeth can put added strain on your jaw and lead to this painful condition.

Jawbone Atrophy

Missing tooth roots eliminate jawbone stimulation and can lead to atrophy. You can prevent atrophy and costly dental procedures like a bone graft by seeking implant treatment early.

Contact our Los Algodones practice if you're ready to invest in your smile.

What To Expect During Implant Treatment A Surgical Timeline for Dental Implants

Implant placement happens in three stages: the implant is placed into the jawbone, the abutment is added to the implant, and the restorations are attached to the abutment. The entire dental treatment takes five to eight months, depending on how your body heals. Contact our Los Algodones practice to get started.
Once your restorations are placed, you can have a beautiful, healthy, and functioning smile for life.
Once your restorations are placed, you can have a beautiful, healthy, and functioning smile for life.

Implant Placement

During your first surgery at our Los Algodones office, our dentist will use advanced surgical guide technology to precisely place your titanium implant.

Over the next four to six months, your jawbone will fuse with your implant in a process called osseointegration. Once this step is complete, your implants will become a permanent fixture in your mouth and mimic the roots of a natural tooth. You may be fitted with temporary restorations during this stage.

Abutment Placement

Abutments are used to attach your restorations to your implant. They are surgically placed and require a second healing period of around two weeks before your restorations can be attached.

Restoration Attachment

During your third and final appointment, our dentist will secure your new dental crown, bridge, or denture. Once you leave this appointment, you will have a beautiful, functioning smile.

Worried About Oral Surgery? Sedation Can Help

Many individuals may be wary of getting oral surgery based on the idea that they’ll have to experience significant pain and discomfort. However, our team works to ensure patients are comfortable throughout the entire process.

In addition to receiving a local anesthetic, patients can choose to be sedated during the implant procedure. Sedation dentistry alleviates dental anxiety and can even help you spend less time in the chair. For more information about what form of sedation is best for you, get in touch with our dentists in Los Algodones today.
